You’re Putting Natasha in Danger, Please Stop’, 2Baba Appeals Amid Renewed Marital Tension
Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has appealed to his fans, relatives, and close associates to halt all forms of online and offline hostilities, saying the rising tensions around his marriage to Natasha Osawaru were endangering her safety.
In a video posted on his Facebook page on Wednesday, the award-winning singer expressed concern that the situation had spiralled beyond control and could lead to unintended harm.
“This thing don reach a dangerous level,” he said. “I understand what fans are capable of, and I know how far some people can go. I’m fine—nothing do me. But all this talk and all this tension is putting Natasha at risk. It’s not fair to her or anybody.”
2Baba urged everyone involved—his supporters, friends, and family—to step back and allow the couple to address their private matters without interference.
“We will sort out everything,” he reassured. “Families have issues from time to time, but this one is becoming too much. I beg everybody—friends, family—make una calm down.”
His comments follow heightened public scrutiny surrounding his marriage to Natasha, who currently serves in the Edo State House of Assembly. The couple has recently been embroiled in a series of public disputes, including a confrontation in the United Kingdom and another altercation during a live Facebook session hosted by media personality Daddy Freeze.
In the aftermath of the UK incident, 2Baba’s former manager confirmed that the singer was briefly detained by authorities following the altercation involving the Edo lawmaker.
