Tinubu Still in Charge, Will Return After Easter

President Bola Tinubu remains fully in control of Nigeria’s affairs and is expected back in the country after the Easter holidays, the Presidency said on Thursday.

In a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the Presidency explained that Tinubu’s current stay in Europe is in line with the earlier communicated plan for a brief, two-week absence.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains fully engaged in Nigeria’s governance even though he is away in Europe,” Onanuga stated. “His return to Abuja and resumption of duties at the Villa will follow the conclusion of the Easter holiday.”

The statement confirmed that Tinubu left Paris for London over the weekend and has maintained regular communication with top officials back home. He has continued to issue directives, particularly in response to recent security matters.

Onanuga reassured the public that Tinubu’s absence has not disrupted governance in any way. “The President remains committed to his duties, and the machinery of government continues to function without interruption,” he added.

The Presidency also thanked Nigerians for their concern, promising that governance remains on course.
