By In a bid to curb recurring clashes between farmers and herders in Oyo State, the Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Hon. Akeem Olatunji, has warned that lawlessness will not be tolerated.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting with security agencies, traditional rulers, farmers, and herders, Olatunji emphasized the need for peaceful coexistence through dialogue.
He stated that the meeting aimed to address security concerns and implement measures for lasting peace in the area.
Olatunji stressed that both farmers and herders play vital roles in the local economy and must find common ground to avoid conflict.
He condemned the frequent disputes and assured residents that his administration is committed to enforcing peace and order.
The initiative is expected to foster better relations between the two groups while ensuring the safety and stability of the local government.
