Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has reaffirmed his commitment to humanitarian efforts through the Gwagware Foundation, emphasizing its role in improving lives. Speaking at the foundation’s 9th-anniversary celebration and the inauguration of a new conference hall, he praised its dedication to supporting vulnerable communities.
“The Gwagware Foundation has been a beacon of hope, providing essential support to orphans, assisting students with educational needs, and empowering disadvantaged community members,” he stated. He highlighted the foundation’s impact in sponsoring education, empowering women entrepreneurs, and implementing welfare programs.
Governor Radda also acknowledged support from individuals and government bodies, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, recognizing their role in sustaining the foundation’s initiatives. “We pray that God continues to provide the means and resources to sustain these efforts,” he added.
Former Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema and Presidential Aide Ibrahim Kabiru Masari commended Gwagware Foundation for its unwavering commitment to the people of Katsina. They praised the governor’s efforts in ensuring continuous support for those in need.
The chairman of the foundation, Alhaji Yusuf Aliyu, shared an overview of its achievements, revealing the launch of ten new projects. These initiatives focus on training, vocational education, and empowerment programs aimed at uplifting the community.
As the foundation marks nearly a decade of service, Governor Radda urged its leadership to maintain integrity and commitment, ensuring long-term sustainability in humanitarian interventions.
