By The Ologbo Community in Ekiti State has honoured businessman and philanthropist, Dr Sami Charles, with the traditional title of Aare Apesin of Ologbo, while his wife, Mrs Anita Ayodele Charles, was conferred with the title of Yeye Aare Apesin of Ologbo.
Dr Charles’ spokesperson, Amb. Sirajo Abdullahi Zalanga, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday, saying the titles were conferred on the couple in recognition of their humanitarian contributions, philanthropy and commitment to community development.
According to Zalanga, Dr Charles has supported individuals and communities through various humanitarian and voluntary initiatives across the country.
He said the businessman’s efforts to improve the welfare of people and contribute to community development were among the reasons the Ologbo Community honoured him with the prestigious title.
Zalanga added that the conferment of the titles was a recognition of Dr Charles’ contributions to humanity and his continued commitment to service.
Mrs Anita Ayodele Charles was similarly honoured for her support and partnership in the couple’s humanitarian activities.
