The UEFA Super Cup is an annual fixture that brings together the winners of Europe’s top two club competitions — the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League — in an early-season contest.
UEFA records show that Paris Saint-Germain secured the 2025 Super Cup title after staging a comeback from two goals down to defeat Tottenham Hotspur on penalties. The French club had earlier made their debut appearance in the competition in 1996, when they were defeated across two legs by Juventus.
Aston Villa also feature in the competition’s history, having claimed their only Super Cup title in 1982 after overcoming Barcelona over two legs.
